We are delighted to serve as Co-Chairs of the 6th Annual Go Red for Women Luncheon. We have been touched by heart disease in the most personal of ways and so it is our privilege to give back to the organization that has made so many advances in cardiovascular health. We came to Go Red through our involvement at St. Joseph Hospital. St. Joseph Hospital Women’s Heart Center was the first major sponsor of Go Red in Orange County and has been instrumental in the development of Go Red since 2004. Together, St. Joseph Hospital and the AHA have made an impact on Orange County women's heart health.
As the American Heart Association’s national movement to increase awareness and to get women to take action to improve their heart health, Go Red provides a unique and powerful vehicle to make an impact in our community. With one out of three women dying from heart disease, we fight this No. 1 killer by helping women turn simple choices into life-saving actions. We invite you to join us in this ground-breaking movement and to work with us to make a direct impact on women in Orange County.
Executive Director of Cardiac and Vascular Services at St. Joseph Hospital, Renee understands well the need for heart disease awareness among women. This is why she supports Go Red for Women. She speaks up to empower women to take charge of their heart health and know their risk for heart disease. Her passion for this cause has made her an outstanding volunteer and a huge asset to our local Go Red for Women movement. We are grateful to have Renee on our side and thrilled that she has introduced Go Red for Women to our wonderful chairpersons, Jim and Mimi Cora.
